(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I'm not sure I am "new" but I've had chickens and ducks for 4 years. But each chicken and duck are different so I feel like I'm new still LOL! When they're healthy, I am not new, but when they're sick, I'm new 
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 3 Peckin Ducks, and 8 or 9 Chickens (one is currently sick so I am not sure if it will make it)
(3) What breeds do you have? I honestly don't remember, we have a mix of a few different breeds, and have had others in the past that we lost. Currently, I know I have a Silkie (she likes to sit on the eggs but she's a sweetie).
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fresh eggs -- I have a hard time eating store-bought eggs now because they just don't taste the same.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Learning computer programming, putting things together or fixing broken things, reading, sleeping, hanging out with my kids and 'husband'.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have 2 kids (1 boy and 1 girl), a boyfriend who is basically a husband and the father to my babies, a dog named Cooper. I work from home testing software.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google and a couple of friends. I have known about it for several years but finally decided to join because of my sick chicken and maybe to learn some new things and what others are doing with their chickens.
