Good morning! I am new today. I’ve just added a fresh new flock of 12 Golden Comets to our new Backyard Chicken Home. They’ve been in their area for less than a week and a friend of ours gave us 5 more hens; a Rhode Island Red, two Buff Orpingtons, an “Easter Egger(Not sure if this is the proper name for her) and a Polish hen. These 5 birds are a bit younger than our Golden group of girls. We have a section of our run area separated to be able to help the new ones adjust and settle in because the Goldens are definitely being aggressive to the new hens. Especially the Polish. They keep trying to peck her on the head.😳😬. I think the younger group may need a boost as unsure how healthy they are. Any suggestions for a supplement?

It's never easy introducing new and or young birds into your original flock. You will receive great advice from the BYC Experts, best of luck. :)

Hello and a very belated welcome to BYC! :frow You actually joined nearly 5 years ago!
I agree with @sourland. I would actually try to rehome the Polish and not try to integrate her with your flock. It could very well lead to disaster.
The keys to a successful integration are lots of space (much more than the minimum recommendations), multiple feed and water stations, lots of places to jump up and perch, hide and scratch around in and lots of time.
