Hello there! I am, well, HybridChickLady, because, if it wasn't obvious enough, I adore hybrid chickens! They're the greatest, in my opinion! So many possibilities when it comes to hybrid birds! Now, I shall move on to answering some questions that I was given:
1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I've been obsessed with chickens for a year, in around August 2016 was when my aunt bought me my first chicken. I never thought I could grow to love chickens so much, but what's not to love about them, right?

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
7. 4 hens and 3 roosters, who, surprisingly, all live together happily despite 5 of them being bantam and the other 2 being standard, I think? I am not too good at these chicken terms yet. I would just like to say that only 1 is mine, all the others are my aunt's but I call them mine anyway.

(3) What breeds do you have?
I have 1 bantam lavender orpington pullet who is 3-4 months old. The other 4 bantams are Old English Game hybrids/bendys. The standard hen is a red hen of some sort who no longer lays eggs, and the rooster? Well, I have no idea what he is, but he's huge! Biggest chicken I've ever seen! His comb too, looks like three combs mushed together to form one big fat comb! It's pretty weird.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I found this site while doing some research when one of the chickens was acting sick, but wasn't. After that, I started using this site for all my questions. Yet I only made an account today. Odd.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Well, I love to weave, but I haven't been able to recently. I also like to swim, obviously not in the winter, so it's only a summer thing. I also draw animals, but mainly birds and chickens, of course. My biggest hobby, though, other than chickening, is Birding! Or birdwatching, whatever you want to call it. But I go around several times a month to find new birds or birds I need on my year list this year or whatever. I think it's really fun and a good way to get outside and do something.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

My family? Well, I don't really know, but I do have a brother and sister, and that's pretty much the only thing interesting. Unless the fact that we are an English-French family is interesting. As for other pets, I have three cats, and that's it. As for my aunt's pets, she, of course, keeps the chickens, a cat and a dog. The dog, is, not so good with chickens. Got so excited once that she carried one of the bantam roosters away in her mouth. My aunt found him the next day. She is a Bernese Mountain dog, I think that's what it is called.

Done with those questions! I am hoping to meet some nice people here and maybe make some friends! Maybe some cheering up, too, because I may only own 1 out of 7 chickens in the brood now, but I used to own three. One went missing during the summer, she was a black bantam silkie-Cochin mix. My other one, a chocolate orpington cockerel that came with the lavender one, went missing just last night. Why I say "went missing", you might ask? Well, they free range, and my aunt lives in the woods, so, anything can happen to them. But it's probably that darn Cooper's Hawk.

So, anyone want to be friends?

As for posting pictures of my chickens, where would I go to do that? Could it just be here or do I have to go somewhere else?

Hi and welcome to BYC:frow We're so excited that you've joined us:ya here is fine, just click the upload a file button and you're on your way.

Ok, thanks! I shall post pictures of as many of them as possible.
This chicken right here is Kura( the third picture), and he is my OEGB mix of some sort. He hatched February 28th this year. Beware, this chicken can fly! Seriously, he flies, just like his father, mother, and sister. They all can fly! He is also very easy to catch, which is quite nice! Because then I can cuddle him and stroke his tail!
The second picture is of the really big rooster I talked about in my original post. See what I mean when I say his comb is huge? By the way, his name is Noël, for the box my aunt got him in said Noël on it for some reason.
Now, the first picture is of everyone having breakfast one morning, minus the lavender orp. You can see Noël and Kura, right? Next to Kura is Lou, his sister, who is the beige and black hen next to him. Same mix as Kura. Then, to the left of Lou is Rico, their father. He has no points on his comb, and I call him a dusty old rooster, since he is quite old. Or at least I think so. See the red hen next to the right of Noël? That's Mona, who is dominant hen. She's the one who doesn't lay eggs for some reason, but she's welcome to stay. Now, to the left of Noël, it may be hard to see her, but there is another beige and black hen hiding there. Her name is Germaine, which means bossy in English, I believe. She is the mother of Kura, atleast. For Lou we still aren't sure since we used to have another hen that could've been her mother.
