Just joined. I'm from the sixty's, a veteran and live on 10 acres. My chickens have to share the 2 acre pasture with the dogs. Of course at different times. I do a lot of gardening and canning. I also have apple, peach, pear, bing cherry and apricot trees. It's a haven in this unruley world we live in. I just completed a new pen and plan on ordering a bunch of different breed rosters from McMurray this coming spring. I will then decide the most handsome and keep 1 or two and fry the rest.
