Hello I'm a new member for the backyard chickens I was just wondering if there was anything I really need to know about raising chickens as of now I have 5 silkies I'm pretty sure 1 rooster 4 hens the rooster being the only bearded. I was also wanting to possibly know of anyone knows what my brown chicken is called color wise. The one picture is when they were chicks before I got the buff and second white one. Thank You

Hi! Welcome! There's so much to learn about raising chickens and this is a great place for information and resources. The forums are going to be useful if you want to show pictures of your chicks and get people's guesses on gender or breed type.
I can't be of any assistance on silkies but I just wanted to say Hello and Welcome!! :D
