HI! I'm new to using this and I'm excited to have found this very helpful community! I started raising backyard chickens when I was 8! I had a small flock of 4 silkies (two buff, 1 black and 1 white) that's I tended to with my grandpa! I was sadly forced to give away my hens when my grandfather passed, but now have decided to take on a flock of my own once again! My current flock consists of Cluckzilla, a splash frizzled hen, Doodles a Blue silkie and Jitters, my silver laced Cochin Hen! I have had two roosters, Peckenstein the blue silkie and scramble my silver laced Cochin rooster and sadly my partridge Cochin passes unexpectedly and that was devastating. My "farm" is a medium sized back yard in sunny St Pete, Florida! I also have two dogs apart of the flock! I'm so glad to be apart of the community now! I have used much of the advice given on past threads here and am glad I can now post my own questions! So psyched! Thank you!
