(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We got our 5 chickens at the end of July. (We had 6, but sadly, a hawk grabbed one while they were free ranging.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 5

(3) What breeds do you have? Leghorns

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? I was looking for how to keep my hens/ rooster(s) from sleeping in our tree and how to keep them out of my neighbor's yard.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I spend a ton of time with my 2 teen boys. They are on a travel hockey team, so we practice and travel a LOT!

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We have 2 dogs that like our chickens (more than the chickens like to dogs. lol) 2 teenage boys and husband all help with the pets.

I am excited about all the information here! Backyard chickens here are rare, so it is great to have a place to get information on how to care for them better and get help!
