Hello to everyone, I am a new member and I would like to tell you about myself. I am 63 years old and retired in April 2017 from 44 years in banking. I was raised on a farm where I had chickens since the day I was born. My parents had a country general store where I sold my eggs. I tell everybody that is where I made my first million, lol. I have about 60 hens and 4 roosters. I have customers that I sell to and my wife uses a lot in her cakes. She bakes wedding and birthday cakes and any other occasion. I hatch some of my replacement hens and I also buy baby chicks for replacements. So I have some mixed chickens and some pure bred. I look forward to learning more about caring for and raising chickens and chatting with people I have something in common with.
