To start off...

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Had chickens around growing up. Acquired for my self 6 years ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 20 something

(3) What breeds do you have? Speckled Sussex, Salmon Favorelles, Buff Orp, Black Australorp, Barred Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, a few commercially egg house hens

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? FB Subscriber

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? We show and raise Pembroke Welsh Corgis

Had some foreknowledge before getting my own. Bought initially from Orschlens and then ordered some from a hatchery, have hatched a couple batches. It's been a few years so we're due for another incubating. Kids are both older now too so they might enjoy it. It's always interesting to see what the cross breeds turn out like.

I do have to be careful. The chickens have a well built large pen to keep the dogs out. Corgis are afterall designed to by fox like. We also have a 14 year old weimaraner who thinks they are her personal entertainment. She will not hurt them if I am around, she knows momma doesn't like it. If I'm gone to town and the happen stance one gets out (which is rare),,,, it's a gonner.

Love the Corgi I was old handler but about 10 years ago now Welcome to Backyard Chickens we have a great time here hope you do also. Please complete the members bio and finish the one out for yourself you have made a great start on it already
