(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I had a few chickens several years ago, but due to work I had to give them away. I was able to get some that my preacher hatched out and gave them to me in January.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 15

(3) What breeds do you have? Red sexlinks. I have 10 Easter eggers and 5 ISA Browns ordered.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Researching chicken breeds online.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Hunting, fishing, beekeeping and now keeping chickens.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I am married with 2 children. My oldest is in pharmacy school and my youngest is getting ready for high school. I am trying to start a side business for my family with honey bees and chickens and hope to add on a little at a time with other animals. Not so much for money but just to spend more time together.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.
