Good morning!
I have been lurking here on Backyard Chicken and decided to register as a member. I love Backyard Chicken and all the info I have found to get started with chickens!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. My first dozen come this week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I will have 12. 6 layers and 6 meat chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
2 Ameraucans, 2 Black Australorps, 2 Welsummers, and 6 Freedom Rangers
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
I came across the website as I was doing research into starting with chickens. There is so much knowledge here.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I don’t have many hobbies but I do enjoy reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We are a family have 5 and bought our home 3 years ago. We have just under 10 acres and it has been a lot of work cleaning up the property. The house had sat empty for 1 1/2 before we bought it. We are finally getting closer to being finished with the “big” projects. We have three dogs and two cats. My husband and I both work full time so life is generally crazy. I am a Logistics Manager which means I am taking calls all hours of the day and night.
