South Alabama
Hello, I am brand new and wanted to introduce myself. I live in south Alabama, am married with 2 children, a Great Dane, a Corgi/bulldog, and a cat but sadly no chickens yet. I live in a city that does not allow but hope to live in "the country" some day soon. For the meantime I am trying to learn as much as I can so I'll be ready. I've already learned so much from BYC.
THANKS:D

So glad that you've joined us! You have definitely picked the right place to learn about your future chickens.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens.

It took 4 years of planning and research for me to finally commit. I also dream of moving to a more rural area. We are fortunate that our city allows hens, no roosters. Maybe check out the area in the forums about changing your local laws if you don't want to wait until a move.

My Corgi/Bulldog is a mix breed. He is a rescue dog and such a sweetie. We got him as a puppy and were told the mom was a Corgi and they didn't know what breed the dad was. Well, as he got bigger it is pretty easy to tell his dad had to be a pit bull......we think. The computer and I are still trying to get along so when I figure out how I'll put his picture on.
