Hi everyone, new to this site. A little about myself. Well new the chicken business. actually have 10 hens and just got 6 more in. Always looking for ideas to entertain them, feed them, keep them happy. Im a city girl turned country. I also breed himilayans and have a great big german shepherd. I also work as a full time emergency dispatcher for police and fire, so the farm life for me is a great get away. Always wanted to have chickens and I have to say I love my girls. I live in southern Ontario so the weather is always a concern for my girls. Keeping them safe from all the environmental issues. My first 10 girls have given so much in eggs. Even through the winter months I was getting 8 to 10 a day. I also have a couple of silkies. Any advice on best treats for them in the summer months would be appreciated! Thanks

Limit treats--chickens need mostly chicken feed. Fresh cool water is very important in the heat
