hello everyone!
I am from the west Texas desert raising a hand full of chickens. I know many see them purely as a means for sustenance, but I enjoy them as more than that. i am joining because one of my chickens seems unwell and our 5 local vets seem to view chickens as an exotic wholly unknown creature from a fairy tale, so I'm hoping for some sensible help from this community and hope in turn that I will be able to help others.
thank you

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
We are glad you joined our flock!
and Welcome to Backyard Chickens.
