We jave a silkie/bantam rooster witj a severe crossbeak (90 degrees). The exotic animal vet we went to when he was three months old said he would be dead in a month. He is now a year old and we feed him with a syringe twice a day. (Egg yoke and ground feed). We also have 9 guinea hens, 10 silkie hens, 3 bantam / silkie roosters, two dogs, a cat, and four horses. We live in Phoenix so it is very hot now.
I found BYC because our rooster is sick, lethargic , not asking to eat, and has green poop. He lives half his life free ranging and half in the house. I read all the posts on "green poop" and will try the antibiotics. He is eating because I force him to eat although today is better than yesterday. We love the silly bugger and would like to return him to good health . Back to chasing the cat and the dogs.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

We are glad you joined this flock!
