(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
i am still kinda new to chickens i have only been dealing with them for a little over a year now. and last spring.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
had 32 but we are now down to one lonely girl.

(3) What breeds do you have?
she is a black sex link

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
everything i fell in love with it all

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
i am a mother to 4 kids under 4 i have 30 cats. 1 dog and 1 rabbit. i am a stay at home mom i work for online companies, they are avon, sedalia designs, 31 gifts and legging army.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

i am looking to bring some rehomed chickens to my home so i dont loose my last girl... shes broken hearted and been sitting on the trunk of my car since i got home at 10 pm.... shes the only one i have left its been raining so shes very wet and cold but she wont move :(
 
Hello, and welcome! Glad that you joined! Would you mind answering the question's, so that we can learn more about you? Do you have any poultry, or are you planning on getting some?
i just did. i have one girl but i need some more shes heart broken and wont move from the trunk of our car in this rain :(
 
Thank you i will ask now i hope i can find some for her shes not used to being alone.. poor girls going crazy wont roost or anything just keeps calling for the others.. :(

30 cats is a lot of cats, meyacalhoun, welcome to BYC. Sounds like your life can get hectic with three kids and 3 online businesses you work for, I don't know how you keep it all straight. Me and the missus became grandparents about a year ago and our baby girl is a senior in college. Enjoy your little ones while they are young and get a companion for the hen, as chickens are social animals. I suggest another hen if you can find one about the same size as the one you have. Good luck with your animals and ask these folks anything, they can be a source of support. Even if you just want to get life off your chest for a moment:hugs
