I will just take a moment to say hello to everyone, I am in the North Texas area, and I am new to keeping chickens, and I have started out with just two hens for now they are Red sex-links, as I started a bit late and they were the only breed available to me right now that weren't chicks. ( I wanted to start with Buff Orpington, and Black Australorp)

The good news is that chicken math will probably kick in at some point, and you will get your preferred breeds eventually! I adore my Buff Orp, although she is a bossy chicken queen who likes to dispense pecks to her underlings when they annoy her.
