Living in West Virginia is a great climate for raising backyard chickens. Not too hot, not too cold. I started with my 6 chicks 2 years ago, this spring and they started laying eggs at around 5 months. I have 2 buff Orpington, 2 barred rocks, and 2 black australorps. They laid very well last summer and even laid fair this past winter. However, this spring and this summer they are only laying about 7 eggs a week, total. Why are they not laying?
