Hello, I am considering getting chickens and am here to glean all I can from ya'll.

I'd like to get this mostly right from the beginning, but so far reading online about coop options (floor types, roosts, etc), bedding/cleanliness, as well as safety concerns (snakes!) and ventilation has my head spinning. I know I'll have to contend with dogs, snakes, hawks, racoons and coyotes here in Texas. Hopefully your experience will help me get some decisions made soon.
