Greetings from Portugal!!!

Here I go...

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am a chicken owner since September 2019.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have a mixed flock of 18 chickens.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Bresse, Jersey Giant Black, Black Australorp, Bluebell, Pedrês Portuguesa (Portuguese heritage breed - cuckoo feathering) and a few commercial broilers and layers.
Currently raising 2x FBCM, 1x Preta Lusitânica (Portuguese heritage breed - black feathering) and 6x mixed breed chicks. And I have a few Cream Legbar and Isabella Leghorn in the 'bator.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love getting fresh eggs everyday and the ocasional pastured-homegrown chicken meat.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Animals, agriculture, winemaking and beer brewing.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My wife and I are agricultural engineers and winemakers. We live on a 2.5 acres homestead just 3 miles away from the beach in sunny state Algarve. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 19 muscovy ducks (and ducklings) and the above-mentioned chickens.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC looking for answers online... At first it was about leg scaly mites, then incubator reviews, Brinsea Mini II Advance tips and tricks later on... And now I will need your help and guess about some pullets and cockerels :p

Thank you for your attention!

Regards,
DC.

All the white chicks (except the one with the naked neck) are Bresse (roo) x Bluebell (hen) at 4 weeks.
The black chick with the white barring (I hope is the right term) around the neck is Black Australorp (roo) x Bresse (hen) at 4 weeks.
The black chick at the back-right on picture #2 is the Preta Lusitânica (Portuguese breed) at 8 weeks.
Picture 7-10: Black Copper Marans at 3 weeks.

As I just got a flock of 4 silkies I might as well take a few pictures and post them tomorrow to get your assessment about boys vs. girls :)

Thanking you in advance,
DC.
