Hello, I am a new member. I got my first group of 25 chicks last May, which stemmed to 15 more a few months later. This February I got 25 more chicks. So, that brings us to 65 chickens, 40 of them laying right now. The first 25 are golden buffs, the next 15 are black australorps, and then the last 25 are a mix of silver laced wyandottes, blue rocks, barnevelders and easter eggers. I love raising chickens because they are funny, goofy animals that are so fun to watch and they provide delicious eggs that I can sell. I don't have many other hobbies other than work and farming! I have 2 dogs, one unfortunately thinks that chickens are toys so I am unable to free range them. I have seen this forum come up a lot on Pinterest and someone recommended it to me when I said I was having troubles with my australorps losing feathers, and it's not because they are molting. So I decided to join to hopefully find out what is wrong with them.
