Hello, everyone!! I am a new member, and new to backyard birds. We have three pekin ducks and a white goose that escaped my neighbors farm and infiltrated our flock and seems to be here to stay!

I stumbled upon byc because of a tragic accident where my dog attacked our ducks last week. l’ve found tons of great tips and advice in older posts, and in my own post too. I think I’ll be sticking around!

I never realized how attached to our ducks we would become, but they are as much part of our family now as our dogs (we have two rough collies) or cats.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Hi, glad to have you here! Are the ducks ok?

Yes. Of the two that were injured, one is completely back to normal. One is not 100% yet but the vet did confirm that he has no breaks or fractures today via X-rays so we are going to continue ducky rehab and pray his mobility improves!
