Starting out small with 4 Olive Eggers, we made it to 1 week old. When can they start to eat fruit or veggies in moderation?

Good morning, and welcome!
I don't usually give mine anything but chick feed until 4 weeks, but mama hens give them anything and everything. If you do give treats, be sure and provide chick grit, and only give a very small amount of treats. They really need the nutrients from chick feed to grow at a healthy rate. I compare it to letting your child choose between a nutrious meal or cookies. You know what they will choose, and contrary to what many people believe, animals don't always know what's best for them.
