Hello, North Carolina homesteader
(1) Familiar with chickens, owned many years ago. Went back to school to get Masters and now home to care for homestead.
(2) Looking to purchase chickens right now?
(3) I am looking for hen laying; redhorn, rhode island, leghorn, brahma, and a couple of others?
(4) My favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens is the sustainability in having my own food resource, the company of the chickens and their foraging in my yard?
(5) Some of my other hobbies include gardending, crocheting, cooking, and baking?
(6) My husband and I have a blended family of 9 children (all adults now), we have one dog, was a preschool teacher, student and now not sure what the future occupation may be, husband is a contractor, builder, trucker and has worked in the hotel hospitality industry as an engineering director.
(7) Bonus: I was referred to BYC through YouTube Channel; Roots, Rocks and Feathers,
