Hello everyone,
New chick mama here, my feather babies are about 5 days old. I have 4 new hamp. red and 5 Cornish cross. New hamp. red are for eggs and the Cornish are for meat. I’m trying my best to not get attached to the Cornish babies but is so difficult.
Since we live in a desert area we get rattle snakes really bad so I will be adding guineas to the flock to help warn us of a threat. We also have a very brave raccoon who loves to eat from our dumpster too.
So I guess that sums it up for me.
