Hello! New to chickens here! We got our first 6 chicks about 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately we had the brooder too hot and all 6 had passed. We made some adjustments and we learned. Now we have 6 new girls set up and things seem to be going much better here. We have a Blue Laced Wyandotte, a Golden Laced Wyandotte, a Black Australorp, a Sapphire Gem, an Olive Egger, and a Prairie Bluebell Egger. This site has definitely been so helpful in every aspect of being beginner chicken owners and we have learned so much. We are doing most everything by ourselves, my husband and I repurposed our old shed into their coop and attached a 70sqft run to it. We cannot wait to continue to learn and grow with the girls and hopefully provide the best that we can for them. :)
