Hello, my name is Holly.
I have done some research on chickens and have finally decided to get some (and got the husband on board!)
I still have a lot to learn and while asking some friends questions they mentioned this group and said it is a wonderful community with a lot of knowledge!
I am hoping to purchase my first chicks this week so am getting everything ready and just trying to figure out breed I want and just info that I'll need to know so any and all info is appreciated! I am thinking of starting with 5-8 chicks with an end goal of 10-12 chickens.
Thanks for this community!

Welcome. I couldn't advise getting easter Eggers more. They lay several different colors of egg from brown, to blue, to green. Can be really social with people, are great with other birds, come in many different colors and patterns, and are OK meat birds.
