I’ve had chickens off and on my whole life. Right now, I have close to 100 chickens, half are newly hatched chicks. I have gold lace Wyandotte, white leghorns, Americana, olive eggers, orpingtons, gold comets and a couple turkeys. My favorite aspects of raising back yard chickens are fresh eggs, meat without chemicals and lots of entertainment. Other hobbies are raising cows and horses… and dogs. We are a plain country family who enjoys farming, growing and preserving food. I’ve recently seen BYC on Facebook and thought I could gain more knowledge in raising my chickens. Thank you.
