1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I am somewhat new..I started in 2012 rescuing fighting chickens that lost and would buy them, or sometimes they gave them to me, and I would nurse them back to health and give them ladies and tried to pamper them the rest of their lives after what they went through. After that, I didn't have chickens for years and then in 2020 I started with 6 chicks and bought a roo as well and started the flock I have now.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 55

(3) What breeds do you have? Wyandottes, New Hampshire Reds, French Wheaten Marans, leghorns, turkens, silkies, mille fluer d'uccle, old English bantam, Easter Eggers, Cinnamon Queens, Americaunas, barnevelders, barred rocks, sapphire gems, Jersey giants and a few barnyard mixes. I think I got them all

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

I don't think I have a favorite part. I love everything about having them except when they get sick and die.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Photography. Learning and researching. I love to read. I also love the outdoors so do a lot of outdoors things.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I also have 3 ducks, a dog and 5 cats. I have a husband and 5 kids and 5 grandkids and I am one busy lady!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? :D

I found yall in 2020 when I needed help with a backyard flock and what to do. Most of what I know came from BYC. I am also a member of the Facebook group. I just recently learned there was an app so here I am!
