Hi everyone! I'm Thas. New to this forum and community. Here's a little about myself and my birds.
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, June of this year
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Town allows 4 chickens and 2 ducks. I have 2 hens and 1 rooster.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Rhode Island Reds
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
They are independent and have their quirks.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, hiking, and running.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
No other pets as this time. My town is known for free-range ducks. It’s like clockwork when hoards of them go through the neighborhood. Always a mystery on how the population is controlled. I have seen so many of them multiply.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community? Google. I have known about BYC about a year by now. Decided to join because I always read good tips or things about chickens on this site more than others. Well, YouTube is good, but you have to weed out the bad ones. BYC seems like a chill community.
