1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Yes, we got our first chickens over the summer in 2023.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

We aren’t 100% sure. I believe Plymouth Rocks and Cochins
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The excitement of the eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Fishing, raising ducks, and animals in general.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a nurse. I have 5 boys ages 15,12,9,7,and 6. We have 3 dogs, 1 cat, 3 ferrets, 5 chickens and 6 ducks ( 2 of the ducks are new to the family, we just got them about a month ago).
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC through a google search first while trying to see pictures of ducks at certain ages and then again through Facebook looking for forums to help me identify if my ducks and chickens were male or female.
