Hello! I’m Erin and I’m new to having chickens, but have wanted to as long as I can remember.
We have 16 baby chicks that will be 3 weeks old tomorrow.
We have Americainas, Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Bielefelders, and Red Stars. We also have a “mystery chick” we’re trying to figure out. This chick is mostly black and has mostly black legs and feet.
I’m considered a “crunchy mama” since I love homesteading, holistic/natural homeopathic living, gardening and now chickens. I also love the arts, theatre and fashion and I was a fashion design major. I have a lot of hobbies!
We’re a Christian family and my husband and I have 6 kids at home. We just moved a few months ago on 3 acres and after we replace our existing septic system we plan on acquiring at least one dog. We would love to in the future get other animals like goats.
I’m happy to be here and have been looking around here for a little bit and anxious to learn more!
