Hello I like in Oklahoma we have quite a few chickens we have had them for about 6 years but I do not know a ton about them I just take care of them we currently have fully grown chickens half grown chickens and baby chicks as we recently lost a lot of them to owls going under our chicken pen as it is a large tin covered pen on an old cotton trailer the owl goes under and pulls their heads through and kills them we also have cows sheep horses a donkey and a llama

1/2" hardware cloth keeps most everything out. Electrified poultry netting is another idea.
