Hello, i'm a new member from north carolina. I'm looking to get chickens in the near future, along with some quail. As soon as I move into my new place, which has acreage.

Been looking at several different hatchery sites, along with the several facebook groups, to learn more about raising and harvesting chickens.

If you're looking for layers, I would go online hatchery. Cheaper especially if you are getting a lot.
If looking for breeding stock or high-quality birds bred to the standard, I would go with a private hatchery. If meat birds, either. Let us know if you want breed suggestions and if so, what you're looking for in a bird
