Hi everyone. This is John from southeat Louisiana. We live on 5 acres in Abita Srpings, la. New to this forum and just wanted to say hi! I've raised checken before but with work being so busy haven't had time in the last few years and want to get back into getting some eggs and raising some meat birds. Looking forward to catching up on raising chickens again!

from Southern New England
5 acres--sounds huge to me--we rent, and the total property including the 2-family house and woods, is about 2/3rds of an acre.
You will definitely re-learn what you need to raise happy healthy chickens on here. People are friendly and knowledgeable, and willing to share, on BYC. Check out the basics in the Learning Center, and look for your local "peeps" in the "Where am I, Where are you" section.
