Hi! I love reading postings on backyard chickens. I love chickens and it is great knowing others do too. I have 25 pullets that are 21 weeks old and 3 roosters. I have had all of them since they were 1 day old. I have Cochins, white Leghorns, Americaunas and Silkies. I am getting up to 9 eggs a day now and get white eggs and green eggs and have gotten 2 brown eggs so far. I enjoy watching them play in the yard when I let them out. They do a lot of cute things but a memorable time was when a Silkie rooster was pecking at a cochen hen, so she picked him up and carried him around with him hanging upside down for about a minute. He was hollering. It was so funny.
