Hello, I'm from Ohio. I have 3 hens and 2 roosters and one chick that just hatched last week. I think it's a rooster too but not completely sure. This is my first time ever having chickens and I love it. I love learning about them. My kids really enjoy them too and it helps to teach them responsibility. I'm looking forward to getting more hens in the spring.
 
i myself am hatching year round, but its harder and alot more expensive to keep them in the winter. ive also noticed the ones i grow in the winter never seem to grow as well as the ones in spring, but they reach the same sizes eventually.
