Hello Everyone,
My name is Kimberly, and I currently have 1 buff silkie (Peaches), 1 dutch feather footed bantam (Lyle), 3 white tetra hens, and 1 new Hampshire red (Bonnie). I also have 2 giant black roosters (Christmas,Thanksgiving) no, not dinner roosters! I got them around the holidays . One of my white tetra hens (Homie G) just hatched 2 babies (MayBelle, Nickers) which are so adorable.
Currently I live in Miamisburg, Ohio, but I will be moving to Tennessee within the next few months. I love the silkie breed. I also have two horses which I recently took to Tennessee while I get ready to move so I'm not moving them when everything is hectic. I have owned chickens for a year now, and I love them. No one really thinks that chickens have personalities, but they certainly do!

Hello, I am glad I joined as well. My friends aren't all that interested in my chickens like I think they should be haha. I like different breeds of chickens, but my favorite at the moment is silkies. They are so cute and adorable running around in the yard like little fluff balls. I have found that I need to protect my garden after my flock attacked it last year. They somehow thought my vegetables were a smorkesboard I grew just for them personallly.

Oh, chickens most certainly do have personalities! And each bird has a different one too. They are very enjoyable animals to keep.
