(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

I have had chickens for one year.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

I have 6 chickens right now, but will only have 4 tomorrow. I have two bullies that are going to a new environment with chickens of similar temperaments.

(3) What breeds do you have?

I have Austrolops, Blue Lace Wyndott, a Black Sex Link and two New Hampshire Reds (these are the ones that will be relocating).

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?

Back yard chickens was recommended to me by friends who also have chickens, and whenever I googled a question always had the answers I needed.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Right now my hobbies are two teenage children (enjoying being an active part in the activities they participate in and sharing time with them and their friends), and raising my micro flock.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

I have a three year old Bassett Hound, I work for a school as an accountant, I have two very amazing children.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. You have a very good and thorough introduction, but I would recommend using normal black font for the reason that drumstick diva mentioned. I'm sorry about the two bullies in your flock. You have some great breeds. Black Sex Links are my favorite chickens (technically they are not breeds, but hybrids). I've raised them for years and they are hardy and friendly egg laying machines. Black Australorps are my favorite standard breed. They are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children, and now my granddaughter, made lap pets of them), and excellent layers of large, brown eggs. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Great intro there from you. My son is just heading into his teenage years too at the end of this month. Sorry to hear you are having to rehome two of your chickens, i hope they will be happy in their new home.
Be sure to ask any questions you may have, everyone here to help. Enjoy BYC :frow
