I am so happy to be apart of this chicken loving community!
My family has four chickens. We have two Rhode Island Reds, One Plymouth Rock chicken (Used to have two) and One black one (I don't know what kind) We've been raising backyard chickens for a few years now and still have one of the originals!

The black one is a Black Australorp (and paddock36 did spell it right). ) Black Australorps are extremely hardy, calm and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of ours), and excellent layers. You should get lots of large, brown eggs from her. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.
