hello all

I have 4 chickens (pullets) now 12-13 weeks old and loving outside. I do think I do have 1 that is a cockerel she (he) does not look like any Gold lace Wyandotte hen pictures I have looked at and we can not have Rooster in our area. Does anyone know who could take him? location is Arvada, CO

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Could you post some pics of your bird you think is a boy? There is the what breed gender section of the forum with lots of very helpful members who can help you. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

I hope it turns out to be a pullet for you and you can then keep the bird. Posting some pics would be great so you know for sure.

Good luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. If your bird is in fact identified as a cockerel on What Breed or Gender is This?, you can always post him on Craigslist. You might also check with your local feed store. They may know someone who would like to have him, or they may even have a bulletin board you can advertise him on. You might also want to check with your local 4h. One of the students might want him. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. If it turns out you have a cockerel, good luck in re-homing him.

He is definitely a Golden Laced Wyandotte cockerel. He's a beautiful bird and I think that it's likely someone will want him. :o)
