LOL
You're so right! This site seems to feed my addiction now more than anything!

At first, I thought having some chickens would be a small endeavor which I would use simply for some eggs, maybe for adding to my compost pile, maybe for eating bugs.
Then I started accumulating so much chicken stuff, building so many structures and things. I can't quit!

We've already readied ourselves for a 2nd flock to come in the next few weeks. It's definitely crazy around here.

Thank you also for the link to the other Oklahoma group. I really appreciate that!

Good luck with all of your animals. We had to rehome our Cockatiels when we lived in OKC. Poor things. I felt so bad for them because we bonded so well.

We decided that the next time we get those type of birds will be when we have a large greenhouse where they can make their home, something like their own little rain forest. Who knows if that will actually pan out though. lol

Don't you need some rabbits too? Maybe some turkeys?

I kind of want to get some ducks and possibly some geese once we can move onto some land that we can truly call our own.

I think that when it's all said and done we'd like to have:

Goats
Ducks
Geese
Rabbits
Chickens (naturally!)
a few cows and a couple of horses

If, for no other reason, only to enjoy their company.

Super huge animal lovers here!

If you are interested, I have 10 California x New Zealand rabbits, 1 buck, 1 doe and 8 weaned babies...comes with a single handmade hutch (would have to have/build another to keep the buck and doe separated) I bought the buck and doe for meat rabbits, they are a year old, I just aint interested anymore. I love my birds!

Will sell all for 50.00 just to get them out of my yard! lol... also comes with feeder and two water bottles....keeping the nesting box for broody hens.

I am in the Talihina area.

I talked to my wife about the possibility of raising rabbits but she's not as interested in doing so right now, but if you wouldn't mind I'd love to keep in touch with you about it just in case I can change her mind.
I think the main reason we can't take them right now is because we'll be gearing up for a big move this summer and might not have the time or space to properly take care of them during that time.

Thanks for keeping us in mind though! :)

I am going to put them in the BST section and the okies in the BYC thread, I really want to get rid of them, but if you change your mind and I still have them, you are more than welcome to them.

Got some nice roosters hatched Feb. 2014 for sale or trade for some hens can put pics on let me know if you are interested
