Hi, we're Don and Kathy, located NW of Houston, and we started building an organic farm over the past year. We're raising Salmon Faverolles, mainly for eggs, but we hatched a bunch of roosters that we will soon process as meat birds. I've watched a lot of YouTube videos but would love to hear any advice, and especially would be grateful if anyone in the area would be willing to show us in person how to do it. Also, I'm looking for a plucker to rent for this - does anyone have one you'd be willing to rent, or know if a source in the Houston area?

Welcome to BYC!!

Welcome! I'm in Houston. I don't have a plucker but if I did I don't think I'd let anyone borrow it simply because chicken disease are 🤮. I wouldn't want to accidentally bring disease back home.

Have you thought about skinning them?
