I live in Parma , Ohio. We are not allowed to have chickens here for some reason. So I joined to vote towards having some allowance to own a few backyard chickens. I would love to have fresh eggs daily. Starting a garden yard and green house this year. Would like to supply most of my own food. So, maybe we can work towards changing the rules here in parma.

Several others have joined from Parma, Ohio with the same issue, I think Parma is a tough sell on chicken keeping.

Welcome to BYC. My county here in Maryland had a battle over chicken keeping last year and the chicken keepers won! But it was not easy. If you use social media such as the book of face see if there are local ( county size maybe) groups already formed that you can join and all work together and if not, perhaps you can start one, you’ve already joined here that’s a good beginning too. don’t give up keep on fighting it’s worth it
