Hey all, I’m introducing myself and am fairly new to chicken ownership. I was given 6 new hens late last summer and absolutely adore them. They are proving endlessly entertaining for my kids and I. I have two Brahmas, possibly 2 cream legbars¿ and may a blue Jersey Giant. I’ll try to add photos tomorrow. These girls traveled with us from Colorado (partial payment for a job I did) as 5 month olds. I’m curious about many things but mostly that they seem thin. Also they seem to be missing a fair amount of feathers. We did a thorough once over today of the once we could pick up and there are no bugs, mites etc. and the coop is clean too. Just curious where I should start looking or if I need to be concerned at all. Their eyes and color look good. They’re active all day roaming around their run.... so I think they are healthy.
