Hi Everyone!
I have been looking through this site since a few weeks before I got my chicks... All the articles and blogs and comments definitely helped in our decision to give raising chickens a try! So far it has been a ton of fun! My girls are now about 7 weeks old. They are 3 barred rock and 3 reds. Hopefully they are all girls.. I'm wondering on one of the barred rocks.. but I think she's a she.. black down the front of her legs.. but a lil more white than the other two? Would one roo in the bunch be bad? Anyhow.. I look forward to sharing with all of you! Have a happy!

One rooster would be fine, if he doesn't brutalize your girls . Hard to judge that when they are very young.
