New momma hen coming and going from nest

Sorry if this has been answered. Couldn't find thread on it. Maybe I'm just asking weird questions. 2 of my hens are laying eggs. If they lay and leave I collect them. Well 3 days ago they laid eggs and the littlest one is staying w the eggs. But she comes and goes. The other momma hen sat on them for awhile then got up and left. We do have a rooster so they could be fertilized. Is this normal?

Yes it is normal. Looks like your hens are partially broody. Do you want them to stay broody?
