New Muscovy Ducks

Some friends just gave me two approximately 6 week old Muscovy ducks the other day. I'm now reading that they made it illegal to own Muscovy ducks as pets back in 2010 unless you do one out of the four options they give you before they're 6 weeks old, all of which sound either close to impossible or very painful. I see Muscovy ducks for sale all the time, so I'm guessing that it's not a very well monitored or enforced law?

Look into it... lots of info out there and I'm not really sure how much of it is true.

Honestly, I'm thinking that it's not very well enforced, and I saw somewhere on here where a person said that it's actually not a law but a Fish and Game regulation. I'm not sure if that's true or not though.
