New Peachick owner!

Hi. I'm from the UK and new to all off this! Our peahen abandoned an egg (we think it's hatched later then the others).
I've taken it in to be raised by myself. It's on a diet off game starter crumb, worms and boiled egg.

He's come on leaps and bounds these last 24hrs.

I've noticed some strange behaviour tonight tho - it's frantically pecking around its feathers then around itself (usually my hand) all with its eyes closed. I thought it was learning to wash but it seems to be catching it's feathers and making them messy.

Any tips? Thanks everyone
