New quail today

Hello!!
I am getting 8 new female quail today.
When I get them home, Do I just put them in the coop? Or should i handle them, and let them get used to me?
I am getting 2 Sparklies, 2 Goldens, and 2 Jumbo brown coturnix quail.

I would have feed and water in their coop. Introduce them to their new home (they will be stressed) and give them time to feel at home before handling them.

I would let them get used to the new environment before adding more stress handling them. Once they get acclimated with their surroundings and see you feeding them so they know your not a danger then you can start to handle them.

If you are wanting to tame them, you should probably start getting them used to you and giving them treats now. That way, they learn that you're a safe person in a new, scary environment.
